Landescapes

This is where color gets to breathe. Rendered primarily in acrylic, these pieces capture the land the way it actually feels to stand in it — the wide, gold-lit plains of Oklahoma, the sharp mountain air of Colorado, the warm breezy marshs of the eastern coast, the older, quieter light of Europe's countryside and coastlines. Some canvases stay purely in acrylic, built up in layers until the landscape has weight and depth. Others let pastel step in — not to soften the scene, but to add a kind of playful friction: a burst of unexpected texture, a pop of color that shouldn't work but does, the way sunlight sometimes hits a field and makes it look almost too vivid to be real. Together, they're less a record of where she's been and more a study of what a place can make you feel when you actually stop to look at it.
